Mount Athos is an example.A monastic community for about 1100 years,where they live about 4500 monks. Every year about 270000 people visit this unique area. Mount Athos,north Greece. The entrance is only for male visitors.Women may take a daily cruise around the peninsula and see the place from a distance.

Terrific basis for a group.

I've posted some shots from the Tsodilo Hills in Botswana. The place is a spiritual center in the eyes and lives of the San people, who believe that it is where life began.

It's an intense and impressive place to be.
