Hey peeps this a fun thing to do. Make an ALBUM COVER. YAY!!! created by Zippywinds on Mar 15, 2009:
Zippywinds said at 6:03 p.m. on Mar 15, 2009:
1. Go to Wikipedia. Hit “random... Read More”
or click http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

2 - Go to Quotations Page and select "random quotations"
or click http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The last four or five words of the very last quote on the page is the title of your first album.

3 - Go to Flickr and click on “explore the last seven days”
or click http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days
Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

4 - Use Photoshop or similar to put it all together

5, then tabblo them

There so very many songs that Paul Simon has done that speak to me, far to many to list and he has created these songs in many different genres. Certainly one the creative giants of my generation.

Just a silly story I'm writing. I can assure you that no elephants were harmed in it's making. :)
Eduardo.affonso said at 8:38 p.m. on Mar 11, 2009:
Elephants love Amarula. Well, they would get drunk before they get calm.
You could try new age music. No, they would get bored, not calm.
Why don't you try a barrel of Lexotan?

oh btw Ed great topic :)
AliDar said at 8:44 p.m. on Mar 11, 2009:
Nah, I was thinking you'd just have to remind them that they are inherently graceful. Don't you know, that's why elephants get depressed in the first place? It's one of the few things elephants have a tendency to forget.
AliDar said at 8:47 p.m. on Mar 11, 2009:
Thanks Zip, I'll check it out later. Right now I have to go rush off and make supper. ... I'm thinking I don't want to have to explain how my thinking about how to calm a depressed elephant was the reason why we were having canned soup again for supper.
Later. :)

An Incredible Story

In 1986, Peter Davies was on holiday in Kenya
after graduating from Northwestern University.
On a hike through the bush, he came across a
young bull elephant standing with one leg raised
in the air The elephant seemed distressed, so
Peter approached it very carefully. He got down
on one knee, inspected the elephant’s foot and
found a large piece of wood deeply embedded
in it. As carefully and as gently as he could,
Peter worked the wood out with his knife,
after which the elephant gingerly put down its
foot. The elephant turned to face Peter, and
stared at him for several tense moments. Peter
stood frozen, thinking of nothing else but being
trampled. Eventually, the elephant trumpeted
loudly, turned, and walked away. Peter never
forgot that elephant or the events of that day.
Twenty years later, Peter was walking through
the Chicago Zoo with his teenaged son. As they
approached the elephant enclosure, one of the
creatures turned and walked over to near where
Peter and his son Cameron were standing. The
large bull elephant stared at Peter, lifted its
front foot off the ground, then put it down. The
elephant did that several times then trumpeted
loudly, all the while staring at Peter.
Remembering the encounter in 1986, Peter could
not help wondering if this was the same
elephant. He summoned up his courage,
climbed over the railing, and made his way into
the enclosure, to walk right up to the
elephant. The elephant trumpeted again, wrapped its
trunk around one of Peter legs and slammed him
against the railing, killing him instantly.

> In all probability it wasn't the same elephant. :)

drinking terrior coffee http://www.terroircoffee.com/ fresh ground beans and french press brewed, it is great being we had to dig out of a snow storm,
Pkeener said at 12:25 p.m. on Mar 2, 2009:
Nothing like French press on a snowy day. It's record breaking weather here, 65 degrees. I wish we were getting some of your snow!

We are having another cold snap--won't even reach the 60s today and will get into the 30s tonite.
AliDar said at 12:31 p.m. on Mar 2, 2009:
Morning Peeps. Got my daily cappuccino here. Edu that's gross! lol, at first I thought you had said spirit, and that was a much more appealing concept.
Eduardo.affonso said at 1:24 p.m. on Mar 2, 2009:
Hmm, maybe I've used the wrong word - i meant my own saliva (it sound's better now, uh?).

Instant coffee is popular here in the UK. The trick is not to add water. Just eat it straight from the jar.
Hhwind said at 6:59 p.m. on Mar 2, 2009:
Thanks for the invitation, where i live we have more than 28 types of instant coffee but i still prefer to brew my own, nothing like a special brew made from coffee powder specially ordered from a small coffee factory nearby. My coffee is black as ebony, sweet as honey and drink it hot as hell. Thanks again
Zippywinds said at 7:29 p.m. on Mar 2, 2009:
welcome Hh and Wildt, love my french press, had a glass a red wine with my dinner of pizza and salad, now i'm having a FUZE slenderize tropical punch beverage,

Hey Teo and Mike. Glad to see you've joined us.

Made chicken noodle soup for dinner. It's been simmering for several hours and is finally ready to eat. Since we're having a cold spell in florida, it's a perfect meal tonight.

Wildthing said at 4:28 a.m. on Mar 4, 2009:
I've found that a half pint of Tia Maria in the morning sets me up for the day. The smooth flavor derived from a closely guarded rich Jamaican coffee liqueur recipe hits the spot and gives me a better jag than straight java.
Pkeener said at 6:12 p.m. on Mar 4, 2009:
Mikey! surely you jest.
