You have all done such a fabulous job on these TOP TEN Tabblos. I'm in awe of the shear creative genius here. Many of your sets have inspired me to silence. (Yes unusual I know!) It has been almost impossible to express in words what I feel about your photographs. Often times the most beautiful photographs are the most difficult for me to praise.

I submitted my #3 and #4 to the South Carolina State Fair. Number 3 got juried out (picture of two boys on top of Stone Mountain). However number 4 (mystic forest) made it in to be displayed. No awards.

It would be great if there was a way of getting noticed when someone add or change pictures in their tabblo soI could feature the tabblo that have changed so it's easy to get updated for members.
I think I will do like this. For right now I will feature the new ones that comes in. Later if you add and/or change pics in your tabblo and want people to see the new ones, send me a message and I will feature the changed ones. It will make that the feature function in this group will not be to highlight best tabblos, but keep whats new up to date

Great idea Anders; I was wondering about the same thing. Featuring the updated tabblos is a good idea. Also, I just had a thought what if you had a topic here just so that folks could make a posting to every time they updated a tabblo, that way anyone that wants to keep informed as to when someone updates they can check the little 'Email me when someone posts to this topic' and they'll get a notification that something has been posted to a topic in the groups Forum. ... Unfortunately, I don't think the notification tells you to just WHAT topic the post was added to, but at least there will be something here on the groups page that people can check to see who has updated, and when.

Anders, I like your rules. As tough as it is to narrow to 10, I think it is the best way to do this. I am thoroughly enjoying looking at everyone's Top 10 and I hope many more people will join this group. There is so much talent on Tabblo and I love seeing others favorites. By limiting to 10 we are not spending a long time looking at a lot of pictures. Having just 10 makes it more special and even if you are busy it doesn't take much time to look at them all. I am loving this! Dee

One option is to go to your "MY PAGE" or "MY TABBLOS"

On the left is says "MY TABBLOS" in large print and then in smaller blue: "Most Recently Created". Click on "Most recently Created" and switch it to "Most Recently Updated"

This will bring variations of Tabblos and other updates to the forefront of whatever you are viewing. Just pop into the group and the most recent tabblos will be at the top of the pile.

Now you don't have to rely on Anders to feature the most recently updated to be able to find them yourself quickly and easily.

I think that the best way to see who has updated is to look under the topic " I Updated" instead of me keeping on switching the featured. If you check the "Email me when someone post" you will get notice when someone update. BUT JJUST POST ON THAT TOPIC IF YOU UPDATE!!!!!

I am thinking that to make a TOP TEN tabblo can create some issues, like I don't have ten pics that I think is good enough, or the day after I published the tabblo I took a much better picture. My plan is like this: You can publish your tabblo with less than 10 pics and add to the My best tabblo when I have more pictures or if I have 10 on it change a pic if I have one better. The ground rule though is that I just have one tabblo in the group and let it change by time. I don't know what you guys think so let me hear

Anders, I like the idea of sumitting fewer than ten images initially and adding more when appropriate or even substituting images. I think ten as a maximum is excellent. I am not sure about your suggestion that these photos should all have been posted on a previous tabblo is such a good idea. I take it that you think these ahould all be stand-alone photos. I like that idea.

Thanks for the invite Anders. This is a great idea! I know for sure that I'm going to have a tough time going through all my files. I have about 23 GB pictures on my external hard drive, which is about 12.000 photo's......
But on the other hand it is a great opportunity to screen these files and just save the ones I really want to keep and delete te others. That's if I can.... I'm having problems throwing pictures away :))

It's a little hard to just pick 10, but if we start there maybe if it's a problem for a lot of members we go up to 15 or so.
In one way, the quality of the pictures will be higher if we don't take too many and it's easier to look at tabblos that don't have too many pics, if it's not has a story.

So I went through my Tabblos from last page heading backward. If I found a picture that I favored, I simply tagged the picture with a unique tag (e.g. TopTen).

It took me about 45 minutes to go through 2300+ photos, but it was Tabblo by Tabblo.

2 issues I found :)

a) There are some photos that are my personal top ten - however - only in context of a Tabblo. I have one called Holiday Music. I can't say this is shazaam by itself. However, if I put it in a Tabblo named Holiday Music - it has huge impact.

I didn't tag that photo - because on it's own - it misses something.

b) I have no criteria (even personal) to rate them. I have never had a Tabblo in the Tabblo of Day - or winner (runner up) in any contest (on this site). So when I view the photos, I like different ones for different reasons.

I could choose my favorite top 10 sports photos.
My favorite top 10 of colorful ones...

I ended up wanting to have one top photo across context and concepts. They aren't necessarily my top 10... but - I am going to try them out for this group.

I have narrowed it down to 21. I have to figure out how to prune 11 :)

ARTFUL DISCIPLINE: What a magical phrase, I hope I can borrow it. It's one of the reasons I started the Weekend Best group. :) To help myself learn how to hone the running over bucket of photos down to just the cream. It will be a work in progress to bring it all together for this spectacular project. Thanks Anders!

I was just reading everyones comments about how hard it is to choose from all their photos, and I agree, but not because I have so many; I only have 13, oh, 14 today, tabblos, so my problem is because I have so few. ... and then when you pull them out of context, alot of them suddenly don't seem quite so good. Anders, I'm glad you've made it so that we don't have to post all ten at once, and that we can update the tabblo with changes at a later date. This should be a very interesting group to watch.!

Thanks for the invite Anders. Sounds like a great idea, to have a sort of rotating 10 pic tabblo. It is good to limit it to one per member, which will keep the total number of tabblos small, but create a group which will be forever 'alive' as they will change their pics as they next take a great photo and replace one of the older ones in their tabblo. I look forward to creating a tabblo like this, in the future.

HELP HELP HELP, As Winston Churchill said there are some poeple whose parents did not have the pleasure of meeting at a church alter. Who ever set this quest of the perfect 10 (And I have memory of a Film of similar title) might apply to this definition of church meeting to themselfs and should be shot..... LoL etc etc. At my initial run through of the 415 photos I only selected 30....... MAD idea, when we list our 10, let people look at ALL our photos and determine if they think the selected 10 are the best. Just an idea.
