When I look at the work of Steve Brisendine I understand the essence of things, the value of color, particularly grey! I catch moments of beauty!
SeánanForbes said at 5:56 p.m. on Jan 31, 2008:
Not only every photograph, but also every tabblo, is carefully crafted. Steve Brisendine has more than an eye and something deeper than precision and skill. His photographs reflect a determination to reveal.

I like found objects, inadvertent patterns and arrangements, juxtapositions and the interplay between light, shadow and texture. Aside from using Paint to restore the odd missing pixel, I don't alter the images at all. I usually work with available light only. I see myself less as a creator of art than a recorder of what's already there.
