In the past, when I wanted to send a letter to another part of the world, my letter had to be carefully written either by hand or typewriter. Then I had to attach the proper postage. Then I had to find a mailbox...

my letter then had to take a long ride on an airplane...

 over the ocean...

I didn't like that  it took days for my letter to arrive at its destination. This made me unhappy...

But now I can send a message electronically via email.  With the help of computers, the internet, and modern word processing technology, I can craft and send a message with much greater ease...

It only takes a matter of seconds for my message to reach the other side of the planet.

I am much happier now.
