Dumont Dunes.

This trip started with a fairly hazy sky, below. I could tweak out some of that with photo tools, but things did have a notably milky look.

 

The haze began to clear as Zion Canyon (above) came into view.

Sometimes I prefer black & white. As I tried with the Coral Pink Sand Dunes in Utah, above left. But it actually subtracted some detail.

I always enjoy the transition from the symphonic drama of the desert and mountain west to the near-abolute planar serenety of the prairies to the east.
