Huanglong, Sichuan, China

From Jiuzhaigou, we traveled to another destination nearby in Sichuan, called Huanglong, or "Yellow Dragon". The name probably comes from the long waterfalls that are filled with sulfur, thus providing the yellow color. The water coming from the top of the mountain has a turquoise tint to it, which provides a beautiful contrast to the yellow tinted earth.

The mountain on the left looks out of place but it sparked my curiosity as a climber! I took it on the way out of the Huanglong area.

Beautiful images of a misty ancient place. My back hurts just looking at the picture of the guy carrying so many boxes. Oh!
