Milford 2006 Labor Day Parade

The Milford, New Hampshire Labor Day Parade is a quaint, quirky tradition.  This year was no exception.

There were military displays.

There were politicians.

Governor John Lynch was there.  Since the NH governor's term is two years, he's always running for re-election.

Joe Biden made the trip from Washington, DC to dispel rumors he is running for president in 2008.  See you at the parade next year, Senator.

Every year, the Bektash Shriners demonstrate their awesome, mystic powers by shrinking perfectly normal scooters and cars and riding them in the parade.

This local choral group apparently doesn't take themselves too seriously.

But I think my favorites are the horse-drawn Oktoberfest bands.   They make great music and great photographs.
