In the alleyway

There is an old broken piano in the alleyway behind our office, more an instrument for decay than music. It has captured my imagination: when it rains, the water runs down between the keys in a new style of percussion; in the summer, the sun lifts the paintwork in deliacte curls from its wooden body. These days, the towering hollyhocks are its only audience.

Thanks for your comments guys!
Jenesis - I took these picture with 35mm slide film and then changed the light and shadow contrasts slightly on the digital images. I think I put a slightly red tint on them too. Not too much trickery at all really!

Heather, thanks for stopping by and commenting on my work. Your 'poke' brought me here to this tabblo. I've perused all your tabblos and enjoyed your poetic collages that tell wonderful stories in a true tabblo fashion.
This moving musical collage strikes a chord in me, thank you for that.
