What would Fall in Massachusetts be without Macoun apples?  Answer:  Not very good.  If you have never eaten a Macoun apple, I pity you....seriously.  They are around for about 3 weeks out of the year and just simply kick ass!!!  Think McIntosh, only crunchier, juicier, sweeter....simply put, MUCH better.

This year we decided to go pick them right from the tree, and anyone who was in MA this past weekend knows that Saturday was a PERFECT day to be outside.  So, Sherman, Brierly, Zaks & Schwatz hopped in the car and headed to Dowse Orchards in Sherborn for a fun filled day of apple picking.  As good as they are when you buy them at a farm stand, to pull one off the tree and bite right into it is even better!!!

So, enjoy the Fall and go get some Macouns....you won't be disappointed!!!
