Restos da queda do "Império". Tenho fotos de Fortaleza, mas são de lazer. Não vi nada disto, pois só tenho mar, praias e resorts.

Eduardo, this is absolutely beautiful. The colors are so soft and worn, the filagree and the shutters telling stories of magnificence gone by.

Thanks, DEE & NANCY. I love decaying buildings, they make me think of the many different ways beauty reveals itself.

SHIRL: I'm so glad to hear from you again. Miss you, your comments, your sense of humor, your unique way to see the world. Welcome back!

The third photo reminds me of Venice. Love it!

This is so beautiful! Where is this located? The colors are wonderful and all the architectural elements are lovely as well! Old buildings have so much character.
Liliana said at 8:53 p.m. on Oct 5, 2006:
¡¡¡Yo también estoy acá, de vuelta ;)!!!
Las fotos, la fortaleza de la lenta destrucción. Y aun así, "bela"...
Eduardo.affonso said at 9:44 p.m. on Oct 5, 2006:
MONICA: Yes, the color evokes Venice, but the architecture in this case is typically Portuguese.
Eduardo.affonso said at 9:45 p.m. on Oct 5, 2006:
Thanks, JILL. Fortaleza is located in the Northeast of Brazil, State of Ceará. It has wonderful beaches, always sunny, but I was much more interested in old builings, not in getting tan or eating crabs.
Eduardo.affonso said at 9:47 p.m. on Oct 5, 2006:
LILIANA: Nem tudo em Fortaleza é essa decadência. Na verdade, escolhi essas fotos por afinidade, logo vou postar uma outra série, com casario mais bem conservado. Quanto à beleza, é inerente a todas.

Impressionante. Mesmo em ruínas, percebe-se a beleza arquitetônica.
Mthorne said at 9:17 a.m. on Oct 6, 2006:
beautiful colors.
Siagian said at 9:51 a.m. on Oct 6, 2006:
its awesome how you have captured the decadence of this once very proud stucture. your colors are superb!
Micadz said at 11:22 a.m. on Oct 6, 2006:
Love the colours of the 2nd facade. Definitely something I would shoot.

Isn't it truly said that " The Old is The Gold" !
Eduardo.affonso said at 5:46 p.m. on Oct 6, 2006:
JOAQUIM: Belos prédios fazem belas ruínas.
Eduardo.affonso said at 5:50 p.m. on Oct 6, 2006:
Thanks for your comments, WOODY, MICHELE, SETU & MELISA. As I told my friend Joaquim, beautiful builings make beautiful ruins.

AWESOME! I love this. I've come to expect it from you...the pressure is on! LOL
Eduardo.affonso said at 11:24 p.m. on Oct 6, 2006:
KELLY: Great expectations can be a poison... or an aphrodisiac!
Pkeener said at 3:52 a.m. on Dec 13, 2006:
This is so nice with the contrasts. I like the parting shot. Nice. I like what you said about expectations, too.
Eduardo.affonso said at 6:51 a.m. on Dec 13, 2006:
Thanks, PAM. Actually I take expectations as an aphodisiac, because they push me always to a higher level.
Pkeener said at 1:19 a.m. on Dec 15, 2006:
I like this philosophy! Also, using those 2 words in one sentence is brilliant ;0
