You've got some great ones in there. I love old movies but I think one of my all time favorites has to be The Princess Bride. I love that movie!

Cool! Join us on "Movies Group"! (Can't believe you saw "Bye Bye Brasil", I didn't even know it had been released abroad).

What "abroad" means, my friend Eduardo...? You know here (abroad!!!) we have seen it...
Great selection!!! I have to confess that there are some films I don´t know... About "Bye, bye Brasil", I doubt I could add to my best films. I think it was good at its time...
I feel as it was "my" list, when I see in your list films like "Fanny & Alexander","The wall", "The mission", "Europa Europa", Chaplin, Buster Keaton, "Brazil".
I would know a little about "El norte" and "Danzón", do you know the origin of them??

LILIANA: Pela sua resposta, acho que vc pegou o sentido de "abroad" (no exterior, em país estrangeiro). I'm sorry I couldn't see all Michael's favorites because some pics aren't shown (don't know why - I can see only 29 photos, all the rest remain gray). I'll try later, again.

¿Y qué era ese "abroad", entao...? Como vc vé, melhor é falar... Espanhol ou Português!!!!! :)

Liliana: Here's some stuff on El Norte http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085482/ and Danzón http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101658/

I've seen Danzón a few times, and El Norte just once, when it was first released here. Each in its own way has a brilliant ending.

A great, wide ranging selection of films. Brazil, a Kafkaesque wonderland with Robert Deniro an unexpected comic hero. His Girl Friday! *** *** Unfortunately I haven't seen many of the films you've listed, but that means I've got a lot of enjoyable viewing ahead.

OH YEAH!!!! This is such a great grouping and I love your layout. I Think you have just about covered most of my omissions..THE GOLD RUSH, THE PLAYER, IT HAPPENED ONE NIGHT,THE PAWNBROKER,SOME LIKE IT HOT,LOLITA, CRIMES and MISDEMEANORS,DO the RIGHT THING,and THE APARTMENT....I haven't heard of some of these...so my must see list is getting very long.
