Dry setting the granite--before using the silicone caulk to hold it in place. The granite is called Pantano Green. It's actually a bit more "greenish" than it appears here.
Top left photo, if you look VERY CLOSELY, shows the join between the 2 pieces. |

The kids LOVE their eating counter! Not that they eat any BETTER there--putting food into Duncan's mouth & having him SWALLOW is still an impossible dream! (Unless it's Cheez-it crackers, a sucker, Yogos or a clemintine!) We have also put an "art cart" under this counter with 4 drawers holding paper, scissors, crayons, glue, stickers, etc! Gabby LOVES it! Chairs are from my dad's first apartment in the late 1940's! |

The sink is INSANELY DEEP! My full-sized wok is hidden below the rim!!! The plumber is coming at 1 p.m. today (Saturday Feb 9) to put in the faucet, garbage disposal & hook up the dish washer. I can hardly wait!!!
We also got a granite window sill...our old sill stuck out so far it made using the faucet difficult.
We will have the window trim put on next week...and the flooring will be in on Thursday or Friday. Then we can put the fridge back in it's place. Should be all set for Duncan's 4th birthday party on Saturday Feb 16. |
