sunrise in sanur. if kuta beach in bali is known as a sunset beach, the 'sister' called sanur is addressed as a sunrise beach. compared with busy and hectic of kuta beach, sanur remains calm and laid back. awaiting sunrise here is a romantic moment. people stroll along the coastal zone and sometimes take it as the perfect time for jogging. then after the sunrise comes from the horizon, the activity just started. find a breakfast a'la locals here. or visit a museum nearby. or catch a boat to go further to small islets nearby like nusa penida and nusa lembongan.

there's an art museum of belgian painter adrien-jean le mayeur de merpres who married to a balinese dancer named ni polok. and the museum itself was their house long time ago, before le mayeur passed away. here can be found his beautiful paintings, some of them inspired by ni polok as his own model.

amongst the local eateries, bolung is a quite famous option for breakfast. made from fresh seaweeds [white and green] and dip into fish soup with chili and belacan sauce. added with rice cake or known as tipat in balinese language or kupat in javanese language. and assortments like fried eel and steam tofu and shredded coconut in banana leaf. |
