The bridge Ponte dei Sospiri from Ponte della Paglia;

 

the bridge was built 1360 and connect the court in Doge's Palace to the terrifying prison of the inquisition, hence the sigh of the prisoners walking the bridge.

Well done, Ake! I was hoping you would post some photos of Venice being my favourite city, and you did. I can see we have stood in many of the same spots. Only the light differs and you were very lucky to have sunshine. I like the way you have added captions to identify many of the photos. My favourites are your bridge pictures, especially the first Rialto Bridge but there are many superb shots in this Tabblo. Thank you so much for sharing your Venice on a sunny weekend in February. I bet you can't wait to go back!

Another grand tour of things everyday in a far away place. Such vivid blues! Love the scene of the calm canal with the reflections in between the tall buildings. Thanks for taking us with you!

Ake, the light in these is just incredible. your composition is flawless. Ihave seen many of these images over and over in magazines and on TV and i am so impressed by the quality of your woek. I hopw some day i can visit this city. I like the masks, and the hanging laundry and the lone boat on the narrow canal
