These are fabulous. Have they all been post-processed in Aperture or did you also use Photoshop for some. If the former only, I'm going to invite a couple of folks that work on Ap. so they can see how far they've come.

Antonio, All RAW conversions were done in Aperture. The only one I did any extra work on in Photoshop was the second from the bottom, where I slightly darkened the surrounding trees. I have grown to really like and depend on Aperture.

These are just gorgeous! What the heck is Aperture, and can it make me take such cool pictures? ;-)

Nmat, Aperture is very cool software from Apple that is really designed for photographers that shoot RAW images (instead of JPEG). It lets you "develop" the RAW images using non-destructive processing. So you can adjust white balance, exposure, black point, saturation, etc. and also fix spots, red eye, lighten shadow areas, etc. all without touching the underlying RAW image. (Adobe has a similar product in beta called Lightroom, but I prefer Aperture because it allows you to do some other really cool things like create "stacks" of pictures that are similar, and then choose the "pick", and collapse the rest of the stack. It also makes it really easy to create multiple versions of the same photo, with just different processing. So I can try out a black and white variation, or a different tint on a black and white photo. If you aren't shooting RAW, it probably isn't the best tool. - David
