Learning Polaroid

My first Polaroid photo. Shot with my Polaroid Land 320 automatic camera.  The film is 669 which is 100 ISO. Color is a bit pale but that is the trade-off for a versatile film that can do emulsion lifting and image transfers.

Polaroid Land 360 or 450 automatic camera.

Expired 667 ISO 3000

Used the "cloud filter" kit. A bit dark.

Shot with Land 360 or 450 camera set to "dull day". Surprised I actually got the shot.

667 ISO 3000

Almost the same shot as above. Shot with either the 360 or the 450 (in case you haven't noticed, I can't tell because I would always carry them both around with me, one with b/w film, the other with color).

This is 690 film, ISO 100, and it's really brilliant color.

This shot was also set to "dull day" as well. The 360 and 450 have the same settings. The only real difference is that the 360 had an electronic flash.

Picture of some trees near the Alewife T station. If you've ever stopped for bicyclists right before that tunnel/overpass on the entrance road to Route 2, these trees are on your left.

690 ISO 100

Oops.

I shot some cool wild plants out in some field and forgot to process the film. Then I shot the First Parish Church steeple across from the Lincoln Public Library on top of it.

This is either the 360 or 450 like other shots in this tabblo.

However, the film is Fuji FP-100c. That stuff is amazing. It's not as warm as 690, but it seems to have much more range and doesn't ignore the blues and greens. In essence, it's just like Fuji film in all respects.

Here is E. walking through some corn fields in Lincoln during a recent early Fall click'n'shoot.

This is 690 but I pulled it too early I think, plus I didn't warm it enough (it was a bit cold that day). Even though you can develop Polaroid film when it gets cold by extending development time, there is a point at which it's just not going to do a good job. At that point you should stick the photo into the cold clip and put the cold clip under your arm and hold it there for a while.

1st shot I ever got with the Fuji FP-100c stuff.

I'm in love with Fuji.

I like how informative you are with your tabblos. I think I could skip photography classes and just read your tabblos.

I love the mood of these pictures. They look as if they capture something pleasurable from the past. The picture at the bottom and the building with the spire (with the 'cloud filter') are my favourites, because of their imaginative angles and lighting.

Great stuff!
I purchased an old Polaroid camera a little while back, but haven't had the time to fix it up yet. Your photos are inspiring!
