Special Olympics Gala

I shot at the Special Olympics Gala on October 18th in Gilette Stadium (home of the New England Patriots). There were some celebrities and Patriots members and alumni (none of which I knew, of course). Most of the photos I shot were the standard group portraits and stuff like that. This collection here are the ones I personally like, the ones that aren't necessarily commercial, yet hopefully help tell the story of the night.

"The Rock" was filming one of his latest movies down on the field.

This girl to the left is the only person known to have her condition. Doctors once told her mother that the condition would prevent her from ever talking.

She introduced over half of the inductees and award winners that night.

Ooops.... would have been great but they closed their eyes!

An emotional moment for this inductee

The event revealed to me just how proud families are of their athletes that compete in the Special Olympics.

I believe these two inductees are brother and sister. Even though he, being the athlete, was obviously larger than her, she still helped her brother  stand up and helped carry him down off the stage because he was unable to walk.
