You sure like to flirt with disaster! These are so cool, especially the shots from underneath and inside. Love the title, too, I used to think the same thing about telephone ploes when I was on road trips as a child.

Good job. These look very "life like" (in a stick drawing kindof way) and even a little menacing.

These are great. I drive a great deal for work and often thought of something similar but just couldn't pull it off (in my mind or the camera). You did an outstanding job. These are GREAT pics. Thanks

A whole new look at the electric cables. This is very cool. It's crazy, once you start taking pictures it seems everything around us is a photo op! I love it!

These are cool but freaky...I won't go near them because of the horrible 'cancer' stories I hear about them! Yeah, I'm weird.

I like pictures of POWERLINES!!!! They have personalities of their own, like they are alive!! The BLUE sky really compliments the shots, too!! REALLY COOL!!!
Sheila said at 3:44 p.m. on Nov 13, 2006:
the blue sky is just perfect for the those giant's pics... :)

I have often anthropomorphized those huge towers, myself. I think they must have the best view. :-) What a great job depicting them, in their natural habitat! My favorites are #3, #16, and #19 -- they are fantastic!!
Hilah said at 4:49 p.m. on Nov 13, 2006:
Interesting prospective. I never look at what I consider ugly towers cluttering nature that way again. Thanks for making them look cool.

Beautiful skies... interesting pictures.
Engelgrafik said at 6:31 p.m. on Nov 13, 2006:
cool stuff... this is the kind of thing that if you're shooting trees, you try to avoid. But then, you decide to shoot nothing but power lines and VOILA you have a cool tabblo!!!

=) thank you everyone for the kind words. yes, i did see the danger sign...but i couldnt resist a shot from underneath! whenever i drive past these things i see them marching in a sort of "frankenstenian" sort of way (you know, without bending at the knees)...and always in unison too...so i just thought i simply had to tabblo it!!!
Eduardo.affonso said at 2:39 p.m. on Nov 14, 2006:
The last pic is veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery interesting. Did you use special lenses to get this effect?
Bxrgirl27 said at 2:42 p.m. on Nov 14, 2006:
So creative! I've always thought these things were an ugly but necessary part of civilized life - now I can look at them a little differently!
TavarES said at 3:51 p.m. on Nov 14, 2006:
Good work, Woody. All the photos are great.

I also used to think of these as giants as a kid. Really great perspectives on these.

great tabblo! I find those things fascinating as well, with their lines and repeating forms -- great idea!
