Murphy's Travel Guide for worldy dogs

greetings all! Murphy here. recently I spent a week at a posh dog spa. I'd like to share some travel tips with all of you.

New england winters are beautiful. Keep an eye out for establishments that offer such amenities as a fenced in exercise area (to keep out the riff-raff).

While relaxing and pondering my next move - I like to stretch my paws out to catch all the warm updrafts. Attentive SPA personnel will occasionally come by and massage my back and offer small treats.

considerate innkeepers will arrange these contemplative stations within handy proximity to a cozy heating unit.

in my experience, all the best establishments have comfy perches from which one can watch the comings ang goings of the world.

first of all, make sure you bring some of your favorite things along with you.

An open kitchen arrangement is a must! Any discerning canine traveler will want to pay strict attention as his (or her) meals are prepared. This particular spa had just such a lookout, thoughtfully arranged with a soft fleece throw.

one last piece of advice - Even with all the fine food, constant (but not intrusive) attention, and the many outdoor activities, don't be surprised if you miss your pack every now and then.

there's no place like home..

flexibility and a desire to accommodate the canine traveler is the hallmark of a top notch dog Spa. If one wants to recline in a meditation room, for instance, it will be facilitated with ease.

It's always squirrel and chipmunk season in the northeast. Ask the concierge to tell you where the best spots are to bag some big game.

never eat your food right away! Instead, wait for the spa staff to add "mix-ins" like ham, cheese, pasta, or meatballs. yum!

Somehow I missed this and Max-my canine baby--must have been using the computer while I was at work and didn't shut down-so this was up when I got home. Of course he denied it. But anyway, great job on this Tab Murphy. I know Max will use some of your tips.
