Memorial Sculpture to Tsunami 2004

 A memorial to the Tsunami 2004. This sculpture is placed on a roundabout where the Tsunami struck at this stretch of esplanade causing considerable damage to the vehicles parked there. No human lives were lost here. The sculptures of chromium   steel bars representing the waves and the free flying birds, the flocks of herons, sand pipers, milky white storks that gather here in numbers during the months of December to April.

Even though we are living in the same city, I've never like the sculpture until now that you have shown me the other side of it. I was wrong to have been blinded by prejudice. Thank you very much.

All the pics are great... my favourite is the first one. U used great timing catching the cloudy, dark stormy sky to get the effects that gives the tsunami feeling. Fabulous!

glad i found this! beautiful memorial, of a terrible tragedy ...it did touch the world.. i will never forget it..:)
