Send in the clowns

Suppose you want to take a nice picture of two kids, but the kids just want to clown around?  Let them.

Then, once they've had their fill of making faces and silly jokes, they'll be in a good mood, and you can get some shots their parents will like:

So that's the secret. Thanks for the tip--my most recent pictures of my kids involved lots of shots with closed eyes and my toddler crying...I'm trying it your way next time. :)
