All of the photographs shot for the "Hear the Chidren" series were taken in two abandoned school buildings.  One in Summerton, S.C. (Spring Hill Elementary) and the other in Hickory, N.C. (St. Stephens Elementary).

If you stood still and listened hard, you could almost hear the laughter ringing in the halls.  Both buildings are slated to be destroyed in the near future.
