The Dallas Aquatic Masters Fall 2006 Short Course Meters Meet

The yearly short course meters meet, hosted by the Dallas Aquatic Master (DAM), took place on November 18, 2006 at the Baylor Tom Landry Fitness Center pool. There were not as many people this year as in the past few years, possibly because of the burnout effect of the World Masters Championships in August.

Regardless of the number of people, those of us there did have fun as we tried once again to convert our yards-mindset into a short course meters mindset.

You can see all the meet results at the North Texas Masters webpage.

Martina preparing to start the 100 fly

It was fun to see Olympian Martina Morovcova swim - unless you were right next to her, in which case you could admire her strong kick!

There were only a few of us Plano Wetcats at the meet - what was up with everyone else?
