WHITBY

Whitby is dominated by the cliff-top ruins of a beautiful 13th century Abbey.

This quaint maritime town, with its cobbled streets, picturesque houses and sandy beach, is set among stretches of coast with spectacular cliffs and bays.

199 steps lead down from the Abbey to the old town.

The action shots of birds really catch the eye! My favourite shot is the first one of the ruins sitting serenely in the greenery---actually, no, I like the one with the seagull sentinel at the concrete/stone ledge even more!
