We've all seen the drill as we travel: Two or more people handing a camera back and forth as they try to shoot pictures of themselves in front of a historic site. And at least some of us volunteer to take one of their cameras (or in the case of Japanese tourists, all their cameras) and shoot the whole group for them.
My cousin's daughter Netta took us to the top of a church in the Christian sector of Jerusalem's Old City, where one could see the whole city. I saw these three Palestinian girls trying to get photos of themselves with the Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount in the background.
I volunteered to take a group photo of them, and one image of each with the mosque in the background, "for your parents" and to email the images to them. They happily accepted -- and here is the result. |
