Derawar Fort by Umair Ghani

Simple Work, Mad Wanderings

I saw Derawar Fort in early morning light, then in late afternoon, then in the slanting rays of setting sun and finally when the tungsten lights went up its mighty backed mud brick walls after sun went down the horizon line in Cholistan desert, Pakistan. This magnificent Citadel of Deoraj [a Rajput Prince] stands tall amidst sand dunes since many centuries, silently witnessing the world changing around it.

However did they build this... it's amazing... and beautiful!! Looks like a giant has overturned hundreds of terracotta flower pots... or sand castles by the sea... but then there are the people so small besides it all.
