My wife and I left Seattle on February 1st. Our destination was Virgina. Originally we had planned on taking a direct route heading east across Washington state and as straight as possible in an easterly direction all the way to Virginia. But since the weather that way was

terrible with many closed roads and highways,

we had to go south through Oregon and way down to Southern California before we could turn left in an easterly direction into Arizona and on through to New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, North Carolina, and finally on into Virginia. I really enjoyed all the scenery and though I took most of these pictures going 70 miles per hour, I 'm glad I did.
