Pakistan Portraits by Umair Ghani

Simple Work, Mad Wanderings

 

I found them at the Shrine of Hazrat Mian Mir in Lahore. These portraits represent sentiments of my people. I found expression in their eyes, that pierced through my soul as I looked onto them through view finder. I felt fortunate to be among such expressive persons which i could call my very own. I was carried away by the expression of colors that they wore and the color of the surroundings.

nice display work. I have also seen such colourful and religious mind people in Multan shrines. Love all these photos. I like their weird dresses but never have gone near them. Feared them. Though I secretly admit that they are really very friendly log. (people). Thanks for showing these images.

yes, Umair, i agree. their eyes are all compelling. so intense. i am not sure i would be able to capture them with ease. so excellent, this tabblo. thank you for posting.

It seems as though each one is saying something uniquely different through their eyes. I enjoy the color and contrast in these shots....inspirational actually..thanks. good for you.

Their expression are so unique. It goes way beyond what we see. The colors are a magnet for me. Love all, but the first one is really... really special.
