Simple Work, Mad Wanderings

 

Life in Cholistan Desert is a complexity in simplicity. One very often comes across herds of goats and camels led by friendly people; and women carrying mud pitchers over their heads to fetch water from wells at scattered places in the desert. Its like walking into the magical times of Arabian Nights. Keeping in view the meager possessions of Cholistani nomads, one wonders from where all the color and festivity permeates into their lives! Perhaps it is one of their very ancient tactics to survive in barren wastelands.

Another simply divine tabblo. I love the Urns they are carrying on their heads. I agree, Umair, surrounded by all the sand and drdgery of their lives, the color must help them stand out from the environment and give them happiness in their hearts.
