night market in Taichung (Taiwan)

Feng Chia night market is one of you must see in Taiwan. Feng Chia is the name of a University in Taichung. Originally, the night market only served students population. When years passed by, the marktet grew bigger and bigger and attrated locals and tourist from all over the world.

 

What makes Feng Chia night market so special is that it includes not only the most traditional night market products but also the latest invention.

 

above: a O-Den vendor with 15 years history. They have a hugh pot for you to choose your own food from.

above: the latest version of a traditional chinese snack ---- "sugar cucurbit". Traditionally, "sugar cucurbit" is called tomato stick. Vendors put tomato and other fruit on a stick and wrap them with liquid brownsugar. The new version with more fruit variety, two temperature (frozen or cool) and four flavours.
