Turning the big 50

The Peace symbol was created by a British pacifist textile designer, Gerald Holtom. On April 4th, 1958 the symbol as we know it today made its debut in London's Trafalgar Square where thousands were marching to support a "ban the bomb" movement. This symbol of many followers, turns 50 today.

I didn't know that a fellow Brit created that symbol. As a contradiction to peace, I think it should be branded on the foreheads of all war mongers. Maybe that's a bit strong.
