Tack igen! :-) Åke

So glad you spotted and shot this. I like the particularly modern twist that those little notices in the bottom - "Mona's Parking Only" - give this classic portrait. :-)
Leftofcenter said at 4:08 a.m. on Apr 7, 2008:

excellent, merci Pammie, north winds
Wildthing said at 6:28 a.m. on Apr 7, 2008:
No wonder Mona has the highway blues. The location looks to be next to a rough & rugged road, on the wrong side of the tracks. Her enigmatic smile is slowly turning into a grimace.
Janer said at 6:28 a.m. on Apr 7, 2008:
Your eye on details is amazing... Mona Lisa is timeless :)

Very original site to have Monna Lisa smile.Very good photo.
YorkJodi said at 8:41 a.m. on Apr 7, 2008:
This is really neat... love the idea of dressing up a boring wall with a painting. Is this by the Museum of Modern Art in Denver then... (the MONA only parking signs)???
PhotoPop said at 9:10 a.m. on Apr 7, 2008:
The ragged cracks above her head look like she has spiritual escaped her icon status.
Hhwind said at 9:10 a.m. on Apr 7, 2008:
One cool sign, great shot
Pkeener said at 9:13 a.m. on Apr 7, 2008:
Its the Monday Blues! Dylan and Mona Lisa, what a combo. If you haven't heard the entire song, 'Visions of Johanna' I highly recommend it. You can find it on his Blonde On Blonde album

Thanks for viewing and, as always, your comments are so great. Hey Leftie! North Winds to you, miss ya! glad you saw anoddah mona, HEy Jigs, MariAn, Thierry, Ira, Ema, Jane, Jodi, it is near the Museum of Contemporary Art, in Denver, but actually sits on the side of an old building, that houses a restaurant, and a couple small shops, in a very old urban neighborhood, which has gone through some incredible revival. I left the parking signs in the photo, so you could catch the urban flavor and realize the perspective.

Wild thing, Apropo and Mirella...thank you.
Lifequest22 said at 10:28 a.m. on Apr 7, 2008:
Another stunning Monday Blues. You must have radar to locate these great sights in Denver. Are those wires running across the shot. Somehow they enhance this as do the parking signs.

Amiga, they are wires strung from the poles in the parking lot.
Bertil, that sounds like a great title! Mysterious Mona on the Wall...hmmmm

Thanks, Keeli, Pat, Noe!

Fred, so you have seen Leo today? I am so glad he liked this tabblo! Opening to my world, is not always a safe doorway!

do you smile to tempt a lover Mona Lisa
or is this your way to hide a broken heart?
Pkeener said at 2:29 p.m. on Apr 7, 2008:

You go girl!
Abking said at 10:49 p.m. on Apr 8, 2008:
I like the ragged top and the little visual cues that put this Mona in perspective. The cracks, the wires, the parking signs, Stefano's big name, and Mona's well known smile are given fresh meaning in the single photo like the single painting reproduced and broadcast around the world.
Krisu said at 8:35 a.m. on Apr 9, 2008:
Cooooool!
Bxrgirl27 said at 11:35 a.m. on Apr 9, 2008:
Woah!!! That's one big version of ML!
TavarES said at 7:07 p.m. on Apr 9, 2008:
Pam, this Mona Lisa has a sufficiently discrete smile! I like of the dimension of this work . It would not be easy to make a smile!!!
Marcif said at 7:22 p.m. on Apr 9, 2008:
Nice mural, nicely captured!
AliDar said at 11:46 p.m. on Apr 9, 2008:
... I was going to say great spotting, but I don't think anyone could have missed that one; it's so big! ... What makes it great though is the wires, the parking signs, the water or gas thingiemabob, and the chimney and security light on top. ... oh and I love the cracks down the wall and her face; all of it together goes so very well with your Dylan quote. ... You know, I just realized what everybody sees in Mona Lisa's smile... It's not the smile, it's what's not so very well hidden behind it.
Pkeener said at 12:11 p.m. on Apr 10, 2008:
Dar, thank you for noticing how I presented this. It's what I was trying to get across. I just love urban clutter and "stuff"
Afonso, the smile, or lack of says a lot about a person.
I appreciate all of your views and support.
Allan I often think about the legitimacy of single photo tabblos, but find myself doing them when I want to make a statement or just present something that trips my trigger.
Andre, I love Dylan, too...as if you hadn't noticed. ;)
Setu said at 2:03 p.m. on Apr 10, 2008:
Pam ! Whenever I look at Mona, I always feel she's wondering "who stole my eyebrows ?" and that's the mystery :-)

How could I have missed this one? This is an authentic "Pam work", with the many layers, many levels we are used to expect from your photos.
