Portland Head Light- Portland Maine

Portland Head Light is truely one of the most beautiful Lighthouse parks in the Northeast.  It symbolizes the magnificant strength of the Northeast coastline.  My favorate place to go and picnic, play and decompress! Please visit this place if you are ever in Maine...you won't be sorry! Be aware...it's addictive!

Thanks and your welcome Rhonda, Ira and James. Magical and amazing for sure. Rhonda, travel cross country and get here to visit this place. I lived in Portland, Maine for a couple years and I have family up there as well. I am lucky to still be only about an hour and ten minutes from there still! Cioa'

Looks a terrific lighthouse. There's something about them that fascinates me. As a kid, I wanted to be a lighthouse keeper. It's a shame that they're automated now.

Thanks everyone, what a place... Mike, you should have persued you interest in lighthouse keeping....your right, they are automated in most cases. But still beautiful! Thanks again.

Beautiful photos... we haven't been to the northeast yet... but hope to come soon... and I hope I get to photograph this lighthouse when there... Thanks for putting this on "my bucket list" ;)
