While doing a little weeding, I noticed how captivating the petals of the spring blooms looked in the sunlight......:)

The light makes the petals look almost translucent, like stained glass windows. Simply beautiful, Pat.

Very very nice!!! People seldom think to look for the colours shining through.
It is a whole different experience from the reflected hue. Degrees of translucence and opacity and the flare of the sun are beautiful reminders of where the flowers obtain their energy to grow.

Thank you all! I just love getting down and dirty with the plants in the garden. It makes my soul feel alive again when I can have fresh cut flowers from the garden in the house. I just had my first hummingbird visit the feeders I put out 2 weeks ago. Can't wait to shoot THEM with my Canon! :)

Thanks again for all the comments. Wel Dar....I didn't harm anything else in the garden, but I ended up with mud all over myself....including my hair. Sometimes I shudder at what the neighbours must think when they spot me crawling around in the dirt. What the heck, they should be used to it by now! :)
