My inlaws live in the tallest building in Cambridge where the big spectacle this weekend was the removal of an ancient but huge air conditioning compressor via helicopter. Why they don't use a crane is beyond me, but it was quite a sight to see this beast flying at eye-level (we were watching it from the 8th floor) while suspended beneath it was a big metal block that could cause some serious pain on its way down.

One other note: if you look closely you will see that this huge helicopter had only one guy on board (his buddy was holding a radio on the roof of the building). I wonder what would happen if mid-removal he got a really bad itch...
