Bobbie, the nearest beach is probably 3 hours away from my place. Countryside is about an hour. Thanks!

There is a contrast in #6 of the very small and old buildings with the tall skyscrappers. ALso, in#6 you can see an air conditioner (extreme Left) that I would be worried to walk below on the street!;-) Love the B & W. And esp the first picture. I get a feeling of LARGE or HUGE not too lonely. Tks for the look into your world!

Thanks, Kimberly and Pam.. I also find the contrast of the towering buildings and the shanties quite intriguing. If I look straight from my window, the view is actually the rich side of the city. But if I look low to the left from my window, there's the side of the city which is stricken by poverty. This contrast makes me reflect on the situation of the poor people not just in the Philippines, but all over the world. :(

even in bw, the smog creates a lovely low contrast in the distant buildings. very nice.
