Love this, Pam. First shot is a real eyecatcher -- glad to see NM and CO at least have some pins in them ;-) And #3 is just great.

Life is made of moments, flaps, each with its charm by their difference.
Excellent tabblo made of moments in people's lives. Cheers Pam!
Leftofcenter said at 6:12 p.m. on May 12, 2008:
I'm scrolling down and back up and back down again, this is one of those seemingly eclectic tab where each pic tells a story, even the pic of your reflection in the shop's window- but really there is a link- it's everyday life moments of zen, candid, furtive...
Leftofcenter said at 6:13 p.m. on May 12, 2008:
love the mother & son reunion.
Pkeener said at 6:23 p.m. on May 12, 2008:
Thank you for astute comments (as always, you get it) leftie. These shots were crying out for a tabblo, but it wouldnt come to me. Such a mixed bag. I think we all just need to be zen, as you say, and let the serendipity work its magic. maybe these shots werent all that great, but i liked them because they all had a back story for me, which made my trip so special.
21-gramm said at 6:55 p.m. on May 12, 2008:
all moments are cool, Pam! LOL penny for 'em?
Wildthing said at 7:12 p.m. on May 12, 2008:
Electric set of terrific images. Love it, and the one-liners. You get the juice flowing with your street shots.

Den, i got the feeling a penny might not be enough for his thoughts. Hey Mike, that is a great compliment coming from you, dude!

Love the reflective reflections ...
Wflorence said at 8:30 p.m. on May 12, 2008:
Love these photos Pam. However, I might have to join Gretel in upgrading my vocabulary. LOL
AliDar said at 8:32 p.m. on May 12, 2008:
Hey! Glad you couldn't resist; I love those sort of shots where the stuff inside the window and the reflection get all mixed up. ... And the guitar player wearing the frets on his pants is excellent. And so is 'far away' Perfect portrait of someone in their thoughts. :)
Pkeener said at 9:04 p.m. on May 12, 2008:
LOL. Bill. Dar, I am glad you noticed the pattern in his pants picking up the frets. Like minds are scary! Wayne, it's nice to see you. I am a sucker for reflections..
Hhwind said at 9:53 p.m. on May 12, 2008:

cool shots love the reflection shot of you ..
Abking said at 11:57 p.m. on May 12, 2008:
This is a really solid set, with a clear focus of interest in each photo. I like scrolling back and forth, finding repeated patterns and motifs. The 4 heads in #10-#13, musical instruments, reunion and raised arms of palm tree under muted sun: it all adds up to a satisfying whole, like a short story.
JuDeck said at 12:25 a.m. on May 13, 2008:
Keeners, check to see if there's a pin on your head, there should be....strings and fretts matching the pants and the bricks....reflection of you shows the buttons....reunion is the one of thousands that occurs every day...the little guy looking for action...and of course my fav, sitting on the statement....you got the art girl....V
Pkeener said at 1:11 a.m. on May 13, 2008:
Noe, if you say it out loud, you risk sounding like Sylvester the Cat!! Allan, its so amazing to take these random shots and have them rolling around in my head for days, or weeks, not quite knowing what to do with them until i start the editing process. and then to have them make some sort of sense when I am composing a tabblo, is the best feeling. Or the worst. ;) But what is absolutely the coolest thing is to read comments like yours. Jude, are you calling me a pinhead?? Thank you for noticing the nuances, and the last shot? i now dedicate to you. you are so right..looking to the sky is better!

Looking at your tabblos is always a bright spot in my day. The photos individually or as a set are just plain joy, "be that as it may." And a guitar, frets and all, all the way from Canada.

Pkeener said at 12:37 p.m. on May 13, 2008:
Meegs, those guitars were everywhere. The African and Canadian Musicians were all over them. Thank you for finding some joy in my photos. Freddie! The Wise Cat is always on my mind when I am taking photos. I am so amazed at all your cooments, and glad I could bring you a slice of life from Acadiana.

Génial, un de tes meilleurs tabblos. Des images ouvertes sur la rue, sur l'art, et sur la vie.

Pam,I really love the poetry of your portraits and the atmosphere of these streets .The guitarists , the van and all the people remind me this lovely song from a young french singer , Raphael, and his song " Caravane" ( the hit of the 2006 's in France )
On the road again through the US or elsewhere ? For you ,because I know you're a music lover !
