Last weekend, my mum told me a strange story about our favorite family pet, Cholo. Two weeks ago, my mother and stepfather went home after a long day at work and was surprised that Cholo did not come running to the gate to greet them as he usually does every afternoon. They searched for him in our village for an hour and gave up when they were able to finish looking for him at every corner and street in our village. About three days later, my mum saw that our next-door neighbors were keeping Cholo in their house. She politely asked them how did our dog end up in their house, and they said that the dog just went in. It was odd, of course, since our dog would always go home. So they speculated that our neighbors wanted to kidnap our cute little pet. After the incident, Cholo was acting a bit strange--he was not as energetic as he used to be, and he would not eat as much as before. It took a few days before he returned to his usual self. We could not help but think that the neighbors did something traumatic to Cholo. Anyway, he's fine now. My mum did not confront the neighbor since they didn't have enough evidence to back up any accusation or speculation that they had. She and my stepdad became more careful, though, and always made sure that Cholo stays inside our house before they leave home for work. Poor dog... He's too cute and adorable.. |
