Who is old enough to remember......

Does anyone remember this??

I remember we had one of these machines in the shoe store in Grand Island when I was small.  We loved to step up onto the platform & see the bones in our feet.

This is from an old issue of "Reminisce" magazine.

I have never seen it before. Did your feet fit well within your shoes?

I have to admit that I remember it and used to love looking at the bones in my toes through it. Makes me laugh today..... Thank you...:)

Oh dear, I have to confess - I remember these machines very well. It was such fun wiggling the toes inside the new shoes.

I don't think we had this sort of gizmo in the UK......or I WOULD remember it. Sounds very X-Files to me, glowing green. I'd have probably had a screaming fit & refused to put my feet in it :) And I don't remember having many new shoes as a kid. My dad soled & heeled them himself to get maximum wear out of them.

Mike, perhaps you are younger than you think! I was brought up in Scotland and that is where I remember using these extraordinary machines.

LOL....this is fun, to see your toes wiggling in the shoe.

Yes, there was one in "the" shoe store in town. I had (& still have) flat feet, so they x-rayed my feet for support shoes... not that they did much good. :-) Haven't thought about it until now. Thanks for the memories.
