Satori is a Japanese Buddist term for enlightment.
The word literally means "understanding", and is used to refer to deep or lasting enlightenment.
João's eyes explain the choice of this title.

Eduardo.affonso said at 7:54 p.m. on May 21, 2008: Wow, DEN, you are speaking Portuguese now! Мне жаль, что я не могу говорить на русском языке... In fact, I studied Russian for one year when I was 19 - and have forgotten everything.
This is my grand-nephew João, 3 months old now, capturing the world with the lenses of his intense, expressive, lovely black eyes.
Liliana said at 8:02 p.m. on May 21, 2008: Muy dulce... Me quedé pensando en lo de "lonely" ojos... Como siempre, interesantísimo lo lingüístico.
21-gramm said at 8:07 p.m. on May 21, 2008: Eu falo Português mau, como uma criança minha mãe vivia em Moçambique, e eu compreendo Português! I congratulation you, Eduardo whis born of grand-nephew João! I love she, say it to João!!! <3 <3 <3
Eduardo.affonso said at 8:41 p.m. on May 21, 2008: Lonely ou lovely, LILIANA?
DEN: It must have been a great experience to live in Moçambique. It is one of the poorest countries in the world, but I'd like very much to spend some time there. Mozambicans speak Portuguese with an accent that is very similar to ours - much softer than the way it's spoken in Portugal. You'll be seeing many photos of João from now on - as you have probably noticed, I'm a very proud uncle (and grand-uncle!).
Liliana said at 9:02 p.m. on May 21, 2008: Qué boba, con razón no entendía... creo, absolutamente, en un "lapsus facial" , como diria Mafalda. Je, je, no facial, "linguae", clarísimo, de interpretación mía... Me alegro de qe no sean "lonely"... :)

AliDar said at 1:50 a.m. on May 24, 2008: Excellent photos! Seems babies are born with something we soon grow out of and then spend the rest of our lives trying to find. But all you have to do is look into their eyes to find it again. Your grand nephew is very beautiful. I can't stop smiling at him. :)
