yikes..not again..run quick guyz!

shades will hide me good!

IS THIS WHAT IT WOULD BE LIKE 'RAIINING'

IS THIS WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE A 'RAINING' DOGGIE? GO AWAY! COME again ANOTHER DAY! GRRRH

<<<<<<DON'T WORRY WE STICK TOGETHER AND BE REAL QUIET!!  THIS TOO SHALL PASS!  RUFF RUFF!  SSSHHH!!

<<<<<<<

THX MOM FOR HIDING ME IN THE DARK WITH SPECIAL EFFECTS.   I'M SAFE NOW, RIGHT?  OH NO,SHE FORGOT THE NEON NOSE!  MEOOOW!

Description of a Prairie Small City Shower

Now in contiguous drops the flood come down,

Threatening with deluge this devoted town.

Now from all parts the swelling streets do flow.

Puppies and kitties will ne'er dare go!

They in terror have heard before, but yet again.

The dreaded and feared human refrain.

It's raining 'cats and dogs' mouths the human text.

Oh dear Lord! run and hide all ye' well..'er we become the next !!      ;-)

(MISQUOTED BY PMC..lol ) ...from a satirical poem "A Description of a City Shower"  ~Jonathan Swift (first published circa 1710 Tatler magazine)

Not that heavy here; more like kittens and puppies. But constant.

Cute, Patty. 'Raining cats and dogs' goes back to the time of thatch roofs....is that your ewwwhh??!?
Pattymaryclare said at 12:01 p.m. on May 22, 2008:
Thx Connie but actually. altho' in an in depth google search yours is one of the mentinoed 'possibilities' for the phrase, they pretty much attribute Swift's version as THE orignial likely meaning ...google that poem name and J.Swift and you will know why i said 'ewwwwhhhh'! pmc

Cute and funny! It's raining in my part of the world too - well, it's monsoon season - but thankfully no major typhoons yet where my dogs and I live. Yeah, my beagle hates it when it rains because she hates stepping on wet ground, haha!
