While strolling on a trail tonight, I came across a family of Canada geese grazing. |

Some babies seemed to be curious about me. |

I carry a few slices of wheat bread in my camera bag for moments like this. |

Other babies seemed to be indifferent to me until I started throwing bread crumbs. |

Then the feeding frenzy began! |

Nom, nom, nom... |

Nom, nom, nom, nom... |

Nom, nom, nom... |

Sometimes their eating habits weren't exactly polite. |

I liked their wrinkly necks. |

There were seven babies, all identical. |

But I bet their parents could tell them apart. |

Luckily their parents were protective or I would've grabbed one of the babies and smothered it with smooches! |

What are you thinking about, little guy? |

They ate every single plant around. |

But they did prefer my bread to everything else. Grass must not be all that tasty. |

They started coming after me, which their parents blamed on me and hissed at me to back off, so I tried to back away, but the kids actually chased after me! |

I may have accidentally beaned one or two with bread crumbs, but it was entirely unintentional. |

Nice family. |

They're just starting to get real feathers on their wing nubs, but I prefer the baby fuzz look. |

Check out those cool galoshes. |

Really, what's cuter? |
