Ode to the Moon

Shape-shifter, the rabbit within plays

a purple orange, apple-crescent

as she descends and winks

pink, mauve, and shy;

Magnetic Mama, the tide with time waxes

as taxes rise and flood us,

the woman, the blood, the swings,

swaying, fluctuating, and blue.

Reflector opaque, the small dimples,

pimples of white-brown-red,

with ET and swan at your side,

glorious, victorious, and coy;

Twelve-timer, the arc hooks

a lad, dreaming with stars,

cigars, smoke rising, and fog,

new, quarter, and full.

The moon, a remote companion, suspended in compounded, eerie solitude, apart and aloof from man's vague ways. Nice shots, James.

Was that the moon over the Ortigas/Greenhills area? Lucky you. It was too cloudy south of the city for me to see this beautiful heavenly orb. :-( The old folks say that when the moon is red in color, it heralds very VERY hot temperatures in the next few days!

Thank you, guys! :)

Jigs, yes the moon was over Ortigas area. :) And the "poems" are actually all stanzas of the "Ode to the Moon," which I composed yesterday just before posting this tabblo. Hehe. :)

What a creative take on a popular subject! Stunning images and impacting poetry that capture the elusive vibrancy of the moon. Love how you splash the moon in colour and liveliness!
