Ireland Trip 2008

This surreal scene seems like a home for Leprechauns and magic fairies. The rhododendrons were at peak color and died off the next week. The stars were aligned for this 10 day trip to the mid-West coast of Ireland.

The Cliffs of Mohr on the western coast of Ireland.

Sheep, open countryside, rolling hills... the beautiful landscape of Ireland.

* The American Flag was unexpected and seemed oddly out of place, but eye-catching nonetheless.

* The climbing path up the arduous climb of Crough Patrick.  Rocks rocks and more rocks. It amazes me that anyone actually chose to settle on this rockstrewn Island.  An Irish pub-goer said that there are enough rocks in Ireland to pave a road to America.

The old gravestones are something; aren't they. Great for genealogy searches. Wish I had had more time to explore.
