Proven to be more engaging than some, I prefer the more enthralling hobbies, such as photography. As you may see by just the pictures, it's really something I've immersed myself in recently.
During summer, my considerable interest for photography grew when I got my first DSLR camera. During that same summer, I was able to take photography lessons at the Filipino Heritage Library in Makati, under the instruction of renowned photographer Jay Alonzo.
For three Saturdays, I'd go to the FHL to take the lessons, entitled Digital Photography 101. Everything was taught to us, from white balance to AE-L/AF-L, one thing I still do not understand. Effective portrait, landscape, and macro photography was taught too.

During the seemingly short yet eventful summer, I was able to take advantage of my new camera, taking pictures of the places we went to and the people we met. From the United States, I was able to bring home a lot pictures. SoHo, Fifth Avenue, and Harvard even looked more amazing through the lens of a camera. An incredible experience. During the month of May, PKK was this amateur's next subject. Over the entire month we spent teaching our beloved classes, there was always a picture to tell the story of what happened. From the smiles and laughter of the children to the tension from taking tests, all were caught on my camera.
Now that this school year's started, even more opportunities await in the vast variety of events to come, and there I'll be snapping away. |
