We have been talking about physics in our science class. Just this week we have finished taking up VECTORS. Vectors have both magnitude and direction. The resultant is the sum of all vectors. The students were asked to connect the concept of vectors to a Bible verse.

"In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps" - Proverbs 16:9

Just as a vector needs to have magnitude and direction, we humans, also need the effort to do our part and the direction to reach our goals. A vector cannot miss one component (magnitude and direction). So, it is not enough that man works without direction. It will lead him nowhere. Likewise, it is not enough that man has direction but lacks the effort to accomplish things. In so doing, may the works of our hands be pleasing to our Lord and may the direction that we take be in-tune with His will for us. So in life, to dream, to plan and to pursue is man's doing but in the long run, it is the Lord, who grants a dream, sets the plan and brings to reality what one pursues.
