Great Tabblo. Love how you put it together. It looks like another planet with a lot of moons! What lens/settings did you use?
Caitbrowne said at 5:26 p.m. on Dec 4, 2006:
Great work Woody. Did you check out the moon tonight? It is stunning.
Caitbrowne said at 5:27 p.m. on Dec 4, 2006:
PS I really like the layout, how you made the curved lines. Lovely.
Smsiegfried1 said at 5:28 p.m. on Dec 4, 2006:
Well done, this is a strange effect; especially when the leaves get before the moon you are deceived in thinking that there are weird continents on the moon .....
Mashpee_Paula said at 6:55 p.m. on Dec 4, 2006:
Very cool....I love pictures of the moon too!

This is so inventive -- great tabblo!
Siagian said at 12:55 a.m. on Dec 5, 2006:
thanks for the comments everyone! PAMELA: i used manual focus and set it at infinity, speed of 1/300 seconds and aperture at 6.0. (i would have preferred to go higher but thats all my camera can do) CAIT: michigan skies have been overcast and pouring down the white stuff so i missed the moon tonight...!! this moon was actually taken about 5 or 6 weeks ago...

Pascoepopart said at 7:09 p.m. on Dec 6, 2006:
Absolutely beautiful! I'm definitely the moonstruck type... Staring at the moon makes me remember that we live in "outer space"... easy to forget that! Would love to see more shots like these.

Siagian said at 12:57 a.m. on Dec 7, 2006:
EVERYONE: thankyouthankyou =) JILL & MEI SHOO: i too never seem to tire of the moon! PASCOE: thanks for the reminder dude, you are so right about that! EDUARDO: yes, its much more interesting over here! come on over, i think we have space for one more! =)
JeffS said at 11:41 a.m. on Dec 7, 2006:
I like it, too. I'm curious about what camera or lens (focal length) that you used. I don't have a long zoom, but recently started looking at the Canon PowerShot S3 IS and the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H5. They both have 12x optical zoom and image stabilization and would probably be cheaper than a comparable DSLR lens.
Hollygtn said at 2:30 p.m. on Dec 7, 2006:
OK, I've never taken a picture of the moon so pardon my ignorance. But, does a zoom really do anything for you? I'd think w/ the 238,855 miles distance between the camera and it that it wouldn't make a difference? I'm very curious now! Is the zoom for the benefits of the leaves in the foreground?

Beautiful work! The photos that more I appreciate are the gotten ones at night.
Siagian said at 2:47 a.m. on Dec 9, 2006:
JEFFS: my cybershot only has a 7X optical zooom, i had to make up for that by digital zooming hence the slightly fuzzy edges. im thinking its the 35mm equivalent of 212mm only. the H5 with its IS and 12X zooom is a good choice. HOLLYGTN: the difference a zoom makes is like night versus day!! a good zoom will fraction that distance to the moon like a telescope! a longer zoom will add definition and clarity to the moon ...the leaves in the foreground was just me trying to be artsy! please join the moon groups (managed by HunterProductions) to see some phenomenal moonshots! TAVAR: i agree with you, night shots are so much more challenging!
