My Journey to the New World

As I stepped of the plane that brought me to the other corner of the globe, I knew I was in the new world, where beauty looms around every corner. Colors were just as alive as the people, like a giant oil painting that seems to move and talk on its own. Shapes would come together and form the largest, most beautiful art pieces that are so magnificent, I could do nothing but admire its grandeur. Trees would stand up straight like a platoon of green haired soldiers with large brown stocky builds, as if they were parading me through the street. During the day, when I look up, I could see nothing but the clear blue sky arching down towards the horizon, giving everything below remarkable detail and clarity. In the later hours, a shroud of darkness would give birth to millions of lights that would make it seem like stars have crashed on earth.

At the end of my journey, I was standing at a cliff's edge, peering out into the vast waters of the Pacific. Behind me was a whole carpet of green, with numerous flags swaying with the sea breeze. A yellow sun shone above my head, casting light over the entire landscape, giving everything under its blanket a warm glow. A large structure with numerous windows and lawn chairs stood next to me like a stalwart companion. My putter was resting at my side when I heard the booming voice of my father to make my move. I walked to him with my stiff tree-like legs and finished the hole, with a clear mind, satisfied to have finally discovered the new world.

I was so amazed with what I saw that I closed my eyes in disbelief. I thought everything was just a dream, and that my sly mind had painted portraits right in front of my eyes. However, when I opened my strained eyes once more, everything was still there. The color, the shapes, the light, the darkness, they were all performing a dance so beautiful it made me burst into tears. With wobbly legs, I sat down on a soft chair and wiped away my tears of disbelief with my cold stiff hands. The sun was beginning to set, drawing a long orange line along the horizon, while coating the world below with a dull luminescent glow. Shadows started to walk towards the sun, growing longer and longer until they disappeared into the approaching darkness. I then told myself, "Without a doubt, this is true beauty."

This is a nice tabblo, and I could feel how beautiful things are over there. Although, I was pretty surprised because the putter seemed to appear out of nowhere. It seemed that you jumped to some days too fast. Maybe you should explain a little further or cut some things. Other than that, it's really good, but that's just my opinion. :P

Your flow of words are really nice, and I like your view of the world. However, your title is a bit cliche, don't you think? Nonetheless, I can really relate to you since I have gone to America and other places too.

P.S. Very nice pictures. I like them. :D

Haha! Yea! I feel the calmness, the beauty, and the relaxation. The font is a little small though. But I love the order of the pictures and your choice of words. Nice! ;)

The pictures are perfect for your essay. I could already imagine the beautiful things that you saw during your travel. Superb work. However, I think it's a bit too short. You kind of skipped over the other details of your travel. Maybe next time, you can write more about your topic. Other than that, this essay you made is wonderful.

I believe that both the essay and the pictures are outstanding. Your descriptions are very inviting and as beautiful as the pictures you have posted. Congrats on this one, Douglas. :) 96.

This is really outstanding. As I read, I could purely feel as if I were in your shoes. I can easily relate to this, too, since I also believe that this world can be really surprising in so many ways, we would be amazed. Your pictures truly compliment each idea of each paragraph as well. This is beautiful, and I do sincerely hope your next tabblos in the future would generate the same impact. :)

All the details that worked together almost made it like I had a little movie running in my head while i was reading your tabblo. The pictures were also really helpful in a way that they give the reader some sort of a template they can start with as they imagine the places you describe in your tabblo. Congrats on making it to Tabblo of the Day! You really deserved it.
