Thanks Andre, Gary and Kathie. I was happy with the way they came out. They went bye bye in the early 90's. These are scans of slides I took at the time.

and he draws too?!! :) they are MOST EXCELLENT I'd put them up in my living room (now that's an intelligent critique?? lol)! love the Bessie Smith series of 4 Warhol-ish presentation. Nice.

Hey Allan, I like these, seem to be of the era of the coffee house show. i admire your deft hand with the pastels. so hard to master. The rendering of Robert Johnson within the Robert Johnson is just spot on. Its great to see this side of you again. thank you. They are all gorgeous. Did you sell them?
Pkeener said at 10:46 a.m. on Jul 12, 2008:
ps. love the subjects!

Allan--what can I say but "Most Excellent." A fav.
Umair said at 2:01 p.m. on Jul 12, 2008:
PERFECT! drawn from the heart, the very soul of the person peeks out at you! ELVIS seems to be caught in the middle of "JAIL HOUSE ROCK" and BESSIE in midst of her contempaltive drooning trance like chants! loved both of them and am very glad to see them this way! regards!
Whya said at 10:31 p.m. on Jul 12, 2008:

i also meant to say earlier that I love the stylized exaggerated fingers on RJ..makes him seem even more of a legend.

Thanks Kam, Ira, Michelle, Mike, Angela, Annalies, Pam, Linda, Umair and Whya. Pam, I sold these - they're out in the world somewhere and all I've got are the slides. Putting them up in tabblo gives them a 2nd life and I like it!
Pkeener said at 2:57 a.m. on Jul 13, 2008:

Lifequest22 said at 8:38 a.m. on Jul 13, 2008:

Wow, great artwork. I love them all. What a talent. I love the colours in all, especially Elvis. The Robert Johnson portrait is so life-like and wonderfully 'real'. Great tabblo, Cheers Joan

These are yours! :) You're a talented man. I love the dynamics of your gestures, and yet you still manage to work out amazing and very recognizable details from your strokes. ... Love the Bessie set, and the pop art reference of it, but without the pop art duplication! Great work Allan
